BLU ORIGIN promotes innovative nature-based solutions by transforming the sustainable management of coastal biomass and the restoration of marine ecosystems into measurable environmental and climate benefits.
Through collaboration with universities, research institutions, government agencies, and local communities, the project develops an integrated model that combines environmental protection, scientific research, and sustainable development.
One of BLU ORIGIN’s long-term strategic objectives is to contribute to the development of Blue Carbon by exploring scientific methodologies to quantify the climate benefits generated through sustainable coastal biomass management and marine ecosystem restoration.
In the future, this work may provide the scientific foundation for the development of Carbon Credit initiatives, in accordance with internationally recognized scientific standards and certification processes.
